My Wings My Story- Sculptural Ceramic Vessel
The body of this sculptural piece was thrown on the wheel, and extended sculptural pieces added to create this sculptural form.
Emulating what we see in nature, and pushing the clay to take form, is a great challenge, I was so pleased to open my kiln to see this finished piece. Ceramics can be so challenging in so many respects, but when I opened the kiln to find it was even better than I imagined was such a great joy!
Each block of clay is a story waiting to be told, through organic shapes indicative of nature, sculptural forms emerge, all contributing to a quiet introspective form.
White stoneware, white matt glaze with added oxides.
25H x 30W cm
